I’m performing at an arena just outside of L.A tonight. It kinda bums me out that I’m not gonna be able to see Selena tonight, but I love performing and when I’m singing up on stage all I see is Selena, standing front row, smiling up at me. And while I won’t be able to see her, I’ll still be able to sing to her.
“Yo Taylor stop thinkin' bout your lover for a second and warm up.” Grant, once of my guitarist, teased form the other side of the stage.
“How is it everyone knew I was in love but me?” I asked to no on e in particular as I made my way to the center of the stage where the mic stood on a stand.
“Cause its plain on your face you love her, and you can’t see your face!” Amos, my bassist yelled from somewhere backstage.

I spent about 10 minutes warming up my voice before finishing up tuning my guitar.
“An hour till the show everyone!!” Scott yelled through the hallway of the dressing rooms.
“So you gonna tell her?” Pat, my makeup artist, asked me as she carefully applied eyeliner to the top of my eye.
“I don’t think so. She’s so in love with Demi that she’ll never even consider looking my way.” She shook her head and moved to my other eye.
“I wouldn’t be so sure honey. You’ve been there for her, Demi hasn’t.”
“Yeah but she’s known Demi since she was 7 and I only meet her when she was barely 15.”
“Doesn’t matter when a meet her, matters what you’ve done in that time. She may have known Demi longer, but maybe knowing you have affected her life more.” She capped the eyeliner and through it on the table before leaning back and looking over my makeup.
“I suppose you’re right.” I looked down at my hands and began playing with my fingers.
“Of course I am. Now you need to go and get dressed before Scott comes yelling at you.” I gave a smile before sliding out of the chair and returning to my dressing room.

The concert went great as always. The crowd was really lively and sung with me on each of my songs, but right now I’m ready to crawl under my blankest and sleep. I was going to do just that when my cell began ringing. I looked at the call ID and found Selena’s smiling face on the front. I couldn’t help a smile from sliding onto my face as I answered it.
“Hey Sel what are you doing up so late?”
“Late? Oh geez I’m sorry I didn’t realize it was after midnight. I can let you sleep; we can talk later if you want.”
“It’s ok, I just got home. So how was your day?” her laugh filled my ear, and it wasn’t until now that I find her laugh is the best sound I’ve ever heard.
“It sounds like we’re a married couple that is away from each other for the first time.” Her laughter must be contagious, cause I couldn’t help but laugh at it, although it wasn’t far from what I wished for.
“But it was good. We finished another episode of Wizards and me, David, and Jen went out after and got something to eat, which was pretty fun. How was your concert?” I feel back first on my bed.
“It was great as always. But it sounds like fun. You talk anymore to Demi?” I almost hit myself as soon as it left my mouth. I shouldn’t have brought up the sensitive topic this soon.
“No...but I’m suppose to meet with her tomorrow. She said we needed to talk.” My stomach tied in knots and I felt my cheeks burn slightly.
“Mhm.” I heard her stifle a yawn and all trace of jealously left when she made a cute noise that sounded like a cross between a yawn and an exhale of breath.
“Sounds like someone needs their rest.”
“No...no I’m-“ She was interrupted when a yawn overtook her.
“Ha, yeah I see.”
“Oh shush. Do you think I could stop by after I talk with Demi? I have a feeling it’s not going to go well.” I felt a wave of concern wash over me when her voice dropped from its happy tone, even though a part of me was jumping for joy at the thought of her wanting to come to me.
“Of course. But you should think positive; you never know what might happen.” She gave a long sigh on the other end, making me hide a yawn behind my hand.
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll see ya tomorrow. Night Tay, love you.”
“Night, love you too Sel.”
